Presented as part of The Substation’s Septfest 2003
"What! Would you make no distinction between hypocrisy and true devotion…put artifice on a level with sincerity, confound appearance with reality, value the shadow as much as the substance, the false with the real?” – Moliere
Have times changed? Moliere’s classic play witnesses the humour and folly of being human.
The second graduation performance of the pioneer class of the Theatre Training & Research Programme was a contemporary and radical approach to Moliere’s comedy, Tartuffe.
The production had adult themes and was deemed unsuitable for children.
