Director Phillip B. Zarrilli, assisted by Klaus Seewald, Jeungsook Yoo, and participants in The Water Station project, demonstrated and spoke about his unique actor training method using kalarippayattu, yoga and taichi. An acclaimed director and performer of Beckett, Zarrilli was the first non-Malayalee to undergo long-term training in kalarippayattu, and to be allowed to teach it. Zarrilli is Professor of Drama at University of Exeter, UK, where he teaches his psychophysical intensive training as part of the BA and MA (Physical Performance) programmes of study, and where he supervises traditional research and research through practice.
