Cheng Kam Yiu (Yolanda)

Cheng Kam Yiu is a theatre practitioner from Hong Kong. She graduated from the Intercultural Theatre Institute in 2023 with support from the Tan Chay Bing Education Fund Scholarship. She also completed the Professional Physical Theatre Youth Training Programme at Tang Shu-wing Theatre Studio. Currently, she is an associate artist with the Siong Leng Musical Association and assists Andy Ng Wai Shek with the “The Vibrated-Self” Actor’s Training Programme.

Her performance credits include As With The Wind (Runaway Kids), I’m Finally in Love with the World (Wushiren Theatre), The Silence of All Things: Thus Have I Heard (Siong Leng Musical Association x Liu Xiaoyi), and LEVEL 66 — The Arcade Project (West Kowloon Cultural District Authority x Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts TechBox 2024). Her solo creations include Re: Entry Permit - A Poem on Departure and The Fiery Land.

Cheng’s work explores the meaning of human existence and the fluidity of identity. She aspires to create cross-cultural works that foster social impact. In recent years, she has been dedicated to exploring the integration of traditional Asian forms with contemporary theatre.
