Alumna Yeo Yann Yann receives top awards
23 Nov 2019 Alumna Yeo Yann Yann ('03) won Best Leading Actress at the Golden Horse Awards and Best Actress at Pingyao International Film Festival, for her performance in Anthony Chen's film Wet Season. She also received the Inspiring Woman in Film Award at the Singapore International Film Festival. -

Alumnus wins awards in the Philippines
16 Oct 2019 Alumnus Miyuki Kamimura (’05) received the Best New Actor award at Urduja Film Festival for his performance in Filipino film Tanabata’s Wife. His performance also earned him the Best Actor award at ToFarm Film Festival 2018. -

Alumni elected to National Committee on Dramatic Arts in the Philippines
14 Oct 2019 Alumni Felimon Blanco (’05) and Denise Mordeno Aguilar (’14) have been elected as Head and Secretary, respectively, of the National Committee on Dramatic Arts in the Philippines from 2020 - 2022. They previously held the respective positions of Vice Head and Assistant Secretary from 2017 - 2019. -

ITI Chairman receives Public Service Medal
09 Aug 2019 On National Day, ITI Chairman Arun Mahizhnan was awarded the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) in recognition of his work as a member of the National Library Advisory Committee. He is the first person to receive the honours under the National Library Board’s commendation. -

Faculty nominated for James Tait Black Prize for Drama
16 Jul 2019 richard III redux, a play by ITI guest lecturer Kaite O’Reilly and faculty member Phillip Zarrilli, is one of three plays shortlisted for the James Tait Black Prize for Drama 2019.
The winner will be announced at an award ceremony on 19 August at the Traverse Theatre at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
